Anna Bila is a Ukrainian contemporary artist based in Turin, Italy. Her practice explores states of transition — moments when a person, memory, or form is no longer what it once was, but has not yet become something new.

Working primarily with pigments and ink on raw canvas, she embraces gravity, water, and chance as active collaborators in the painting process. Layers are poured, absorbed, removed, and rebuilt, allowing each work to emerge through a balance of intention and unpredictability.

Rather than depicting fixed subjects, Anna is interested in transformation itself: the way experience reshapes identity, how memory fragments and recomposes, and how time leaves traces that cannot be fully seen but can be deeply felt.
